Blind woman says MARTA kicked her off bus
According to Fox Atlanta, a blind DeKalb county woman named Gloria Lewis says her scheduled MARTA "mobility" bus driver allegedly yelled at her and told her to get off the bus, refusing to take her home. The incident made her cry. Mobility buses pick-up the disabled and Gloria Lewis, according to Fox Atlanta, is legally blind and needed a ride from her gym back to her home in Lithonia. New MARTA schedule - is it working?
In an effort to save money, MARTA has altered its schedule, cutting some bus routes and trimming rail times. With fewer buses, lengthier wait times for trains, and longer commutes overall, what to riders think?
Vending coming Oct. 1
MARTA begins its vending program Oct. 1, according to transit spokesman Lyle Harris. They'll sell water and then some. The next phase: coffee carts. Look out Starbucks!
